Join the Metrotwin content network

Metrotwin’s recommendations come from real local people who know where to find the very best of New York and London. We’re always on the lookout for talented writers, photographers and partners to join us and there are plenty of ways to get involved.

Become a Contributing Editor

Much of our content comes from an invitation-only network of Contributing Editors, expert locals in both cities. Some are bloggers, others run New York or London-based web start-ups and communities. Some just have their ears to the ground. They all help to provide the insider’s guide you get at Metrotwin. If you’ve got the inside track on one or both cities we’d love to hear from you. If we invite you to join, we’ll be able to reward you with BA Miles when you add a recommendation*.

Write your own review, and rate places

Anyone can rate and post their own review of any Metrotwin recommendation. You’ll need a profile to do this but signing up and creating one takes five minutes or less (and it also means you’ll be able to create your own lists and maps).

Metrotwin aggregates everyone’s ratings, reviews and saved places to produce an index of popularity called the Metrotwin Index. What you write and save also helps Metrotwin to make better personalised recommendations both to you and other people.

Suggest a twin, or a place to recommend

At this stage we have deliberately restricted the ability to twin places to our editors. However, we are working on some new features that make twinning on the site more playful. All of these rely on us having a big database of twinned places, so your suggestions of twins will be very welcome. You’ll find the ‘Suggest a twin’ link at the top right hand of our recommendation pages.

Likewise, if you can’t find a place that you believe deserves a recommendation please tell us about it using the ‘Suggest a new place’ form.

You can even ‘Suggest a new list’ using the form at the bottom of the ‘Lists’ page, and there’s a link to a more general suggestion form at the bottom of every page. Please don’t be shy, get in touch with all your ideas. We look forward to hearing from you.
