Still Europe’s busiest high street, Oxford Street is shrine to the divine pastime of shopping - but it sure is frantic. Located between Marble Arch and Bond Street tube station’s St Christopher’s Place is a stylish combination of narrow pedestrinised streets, designer shops and restaurants. The standard of eaterie here is high, but not expensive and better still most practise ‘al fresco’, baring all in the summer and providing heaters in the winter, makes this a good bet in this part of town.
