In 1988 a group of old garages alongside the river just West of the South Bank centre were converted in artist's studios, restaurants, bars and craft stores. Gabriel's Wharf is the result. Twenty years on it's part of a flourishing South Bank community that stretches from The London Eye to Tate Modern. The design stores here are exclusively run by small businesses who design & manufacture their own products. Good place for evening drinks and light meals - everything from crepes to sushi.
