The Wolseley
A grand cafe-restaurant in an old car showroom!

Set in the heart of Piccadilly, owners Christopher Corbin and Jeremy King created a theatrical, glamorous and buzzing dining room. Serving right through the day (from 7am) you have every kind of dining experience at your finger tips, whether it's a champagne breakfast to a post theatre dinner. Celebrities that frequent there include Sienna Miller and Jude Law separately of course! A truly spectacular dining room, go for the Dover Sole or stalwart favourite: the hamburger and you can't go wrong.

AMAZING SPACE, BEST TO GET PERCHED IN THE BACK SPACE ABOVE THE MAIN DINING ROOM; WOLSELEY WINS ON PROPERTY, BUT FOOD AND ACTION MUCH BETTER AT PASTIS.

A posh Jewish deli!

The best chopped liver, chicken soup, schnitzel, and strudel. What's not to love? Not to mention fabulous people watching in the glorious surrounds of what was an old bank and prestige car showroom. Fun Fun Fun...

You can;t go wrong here, wonderful diningroom, amazing mix of locals, tourists and famous faces all sat together in a bright and buzzy dining room. Food ranges from comfort dishes to beautifully made cakes and pastries. Staff always friendly. Get a table and go!
Don't get Hotel breakfast - go here!

Fantastic for breakfast (I've not been at other times but I've heard it is great). Looking in on an evening The Wolesey just invites you to try and look over the low black curtains that screen the sitting guests, in order to see which celebs might be dining there.
Yes it is a bit old fashion, the food is conventional, but Picadilly is that... Classic, charming and unassuming.
The room's the thing

First a luxury car showroom--hnece the name-- then I think a banking hall... finally The Wolseley has the right use: an elegant, airy, feelgood cafe/brasserie/restaurant with dependable food--sometimes excellent--impeccably served, all contributing to a sense of well-being.

Always good people watching and it has a reasonably priced afternoon tea.

staff were very nice, came in because my cousin was just out of nick and we wanted a bit of a knees up. food was really good and the staff were nice, be sure to ask for the 'doggy bag', they wrap it themselves for you and everything! did seem a bit put out though because we all chipped in and we paid with coins, one of the waiters kept looking at us funny as well....i think he fancied our trish. nice place!
Best all-round restaurant

I go as often as I can - absolute gem and really not that expensive for London.
A must if you visit the city.
Consistent and Impressive for guests

The Wolseley is a great place for entertaining, people are charmed and in awe of the impressive dining room. The atmosphere is great and eventhough the menu is quite basic, it works. I would recommend it for a celebration. I really enjoy breakfast there and afternoon tea is also yummy. It's just a shame that you can't go there for a drink as it is a great people watching spot - lots of celebs and high profile business men 'seal the deal' at the Wolseley!
Elegantly Charming

One of the best places in London which is worth you making an effort.
Elegant and beautiful you will not miss the opportunity to impress your loved one/mama and papa/the people you care the most
Definitely a hot spot for nice Sunday brunches and yummy breakfasts or, to compete with their neighbors, a nice 5pm Tea time break
enjoy!
Consistently wonderful

And even when crowded with celebrities, the staff never make you feel second rate. The fish is always superb, as is the wiener schnitzel. Plus, it's open late on Sunday nights - when there's almost always a table.
Not all that

I've only been to the Wolsely once, but it was a big disappointment. The food was boring and conventional, and poorly executed. Service was rushed and sparse. I hear it's great for breakfast though.
pretty damn classy

Effortless old fashioned charm and ambiance but sharp attention to detail and service. Good place to impress guests if they've never been.

Great staff, great breakfast
This is a great place to have a breakfast meeting - it's relaxed, the staff are attentive and the food sublime. I was sitting facing the clock which I must say is beautiful. I had the bacon and egg roll which was lovely. There were quite a few suits there too but it's not at all stuffy. Definitely recommend it.
