A seasoned half pound patty cooked to perfection is only one reason to visit this tiny pub, a hidden gem on the Upper East Side. Often overlooked because of its low-profile location, this simple meal is hands down the best burger in the city. A great beer selection and outdoor dining area makes Melon the perfect spot to people watch in the summer. In the winter, the pub is a cozy escape from the bustle of the City. Make sure you arrive early to beat the rush and bring cash--no plastic allowed

If you are looking for a fantastic burger and a great atmosphere, this is the place to go. JG Melon is always busy for a reason. Make sure you get there early to get on the list, and then sit and enjoy a beer at the bar.
fantastic
tried to go on a weekend and people were queuing out of the door, so decided to return midweek, and really glad we did. The burgers were delicious and cooked exactly the way you wanted. Sides are ordered extra and we found that 1 portion per person of chips was too much and we easily could have shared the one and there would have been enough. Will return on my next visit
