Greenwich Park
A "mean" time

A large, sweeping grassy park with lovely views of the Thames River. At the top of the park is the Royal Observatory which marks the meridian and forms the basis of time measurement (Greenwich Mean Time)

Great place to visit and especially to stand on the GMT Meridian!

I love Greenwich Park and can spend hours just wandering around playing with my dog - agree - you must climb the hill - not by the path way though to avoid the crowds and lose yourself in the views over london - great place to be when the Red Bull Airshow is on
Some of the best views in London

Unmissable on any visit, a must for all Londoners and a haven for locals. If you want a picnic, skip the crowded lower flats and climb the hill to where three-quarters of the park is. Also don't forget to check out the deer.
