Consistently appearing on most-romantic lists, Alta doesn't have a reputation as a date place for nothing with its fireplace, intimate tables and candlelit glow. While its menu of delicate and eclectic small plates is perfect for two to share from, 'the whole shebang' i.e. everything on the menu for $400 is probably better suited to large group...
