Whole Foods has discovered that grocery shopping can be a real drag on the psyche (not to mention the wallet). Typical headache-producing dilemma: If the corn is local but not organic, should you buy it or get the organic tomatoes from Argentina instead, and buy a carbon offset at the cash register? Etc. But now, at the Bowery Beer Room, you can soothe your jangled nerves with a "growler" -- a half-gallon container you buy at the store and take home -- full of one of the local brews on tap.
