Guss' Pickles is exactly what it says. Pickles. This shop, started by a Polish Immigrant in 1910 is the last remnant from a pickle and industrial gold rush in the area that once counted as many as 80 pickle shops. Today you pick your pickle from the barrels trucked in daily. The flavors include: kosher sour, half-sour, quarter-sour, and spicy pickles as well as a number of fancy olives as well. A perfect stop on a Lower East Side tour and don't forget the Tenement Museum up the street.
