The Rink at Rockefeller Center
Skating Beneath the Christmas Lights

There are few things better than cutting across the ice beneath the giant Rockefeller Center Christmas tree before running inside the famed building for top notch hot chocolate. Though on the small side, this rink is a classic must-see stop for tourists and natives alike at the rink is set low into the ground, like a deep slate of white beneath street level. It is surrounded on all sides by floor to ceiling windows that look into restaurants and a well-appointed food court.

Absolute NY Christmas
If you visit just one place to soak up the Christmas (or 'holiday') spirit in NYC make it either here or the Wollman Rink in Central Park. Go early or late to avoid bustling crowds & hoardes of happy snappers. Warm up afterwards with tea at the very classy Peninsula Hotel, 700 5th at 55th, or try the Top of the Rock (http://tinyurl.com/88y6va).
