Selfridges
An historic London shopping institution

Founded in 1909, Selfridges is a classic department store and London's second largest shop after Harrods. Founder Harry Gordon Selfridge is attributed with coining the phrase "the customer is always right". This is the flagship store (there are now four in the UK) and it's a great place both to eat and shop. The food hall alone is worth a visit but you could easily lose a couple of hours enraptured in a luxury shopping experience covering fashion, accessories and stuff for the house.

Fab Shopping Destination

Everything you'd expect from a department store - with a fun and funky edge. World-famous window displays, amazing food hall and lots of interesting art installations and events. It's not stuffy or old-fashioned like Harrods, or as exclusive as Harvey Nics, but is definitely a great family destination whatever you're into. The building is iconic as well - along with the famous bright yellow paper bags!

If you want to do a load of shopping all under one roof (it does rain in London!), you could do a lot worse than take a trip to Selfridges. I love the place, especially if l want to buy some clothes! It has very expensive designer sections, but also has affordable ones too...and a damn good food hall!

This department store has everything you could ever want under one roof. The clothes are amazing and the food hall has some wonderful food. Well worth a visit, even if your not planning on buying much, if only to soak up the atmosphere.
