Whether you want to watch a concert or simply soak in the surroundings of the historic landmark, the Royal Albert Hall is definitely the No.1 music venue in London as well as being a sightseeing hot spot. Over 150,000 performances have taken place inside its magnificent auditorium ranging from classical and jazz to pop and rock, not forgetting the world famous Proms.

This place really needs to invest in air condition - it is so hot her!
I find myself driftly off to sleep during the concerts.

Went to see The Secret Policeman's Ball (a charity comedy gig) there on Saturday and loved it. Amazing setting. Proper posh, like.

A really fantastic place for the most wonderful 8 week festival of classical music in the world. Recommended for all visitors to London. Just turn up on the day if you don't mind standing. Two minor grouches - shame the "air cooling" has little impact on a hot summer's day; they really ought to keep the Prince Consort Cafe open all day during the season - you can't buy a cup of tea at teatime!
Wow

Ever since moving to London I had wanted to go to Royal Albert Hall. The first time I went there, I watched "Swan Lake". Wow! "Swan Lake" in the oval of the Royal Albert Hall is one of those experiences that you will never forget. The atmosphere produced by that incredible building and decor, is hard to describe.
I have been there again for a Cirque du Soleil event and that was also amaising.
Seminal experience

If one venue in London is not to be missed, this is it. Proms are great, but a routine concert in this atmospheric Hall is a memorable experience; it somehow exudes whatever "Britishness" is. Don't miss the Albert Memorial over the road.
Intimate surroundings

It's a great venue for concerts and the atmosphere is electric. Definitely nicer than the bigger venues around London. I would recommend you try to visit and don't forget to look out for the organ.

possibly the best place to see any gig
Such a beautiful place in which to see any kind of performance. Even though it's big it never feels impersonal. The slight drawback is that the sound isn't always great if you're seeing a rock band but the overall experience will make up for that.
