You’d expect a restaurant situated at the heart of foodie favourite Borough Market – where super-fresh ingredients are piled on every stall – to knock up some decent scran, but Roast still manages to surprise with its culinary excellence. Drawing a fashionable, food-savvy crowd to its busy, atmospheric dining room, it sends out delicious British dishes such as field mushroom and lentil faggots, and slow-roast pork belly.

Try the stall too
At the Roast stall outside the main resturant they do a pork, crackling and apple sauce roll, that is potentially one of the top 5 nicest things I've ever put in my mouth. I'm salivating just thinking about it. GO!
