The Ivy

It may be just as well-known for its famous customers as for its cuisine, but the Ivy is also a great restaurant that serves up Modern British dishes such as salmon fishcakes, veal T-bone and baked rice pudding at surprisingly reasonable prices. It’s difficult to get a table – unless you’re Madonna or Simon Cowell, of course – but those who do can enjoy celeb-spotting in a cosy, informal environment.

Great British Nosh!!

Have been to the Ivy several times, Discreet service, great food, resonable prices, but difficult to get a place at short notice. One of my all time favorites for good 'British Nosh'

a bit of England
Well executed British staples , and a smattering of English TV celebs guaranteed (it's where Regis would eat if he was English) ... possible to get a table pre-6:30 and post 10
