Don’t be put off by the frightfully clever name, Skoob Books, is a down-to-earth delight. With a wide range of well-priced general stock, it’s a world away from the upscale West End dealers. And, as it’s in the Brunswick Centre, after you’ve finished in Skoob you can always catch a film at the Curzon Renoir art house cinema round the corner.
Not what it was...
Skoob have moved to a basement around the corner, shrunk in size, and got very mean with sellers (because they have no space?). These are no longer the grand days of Sicilian Avenue. Will they survive?
