The Porchester Spa
A debonair and grandeur escape

This 1929 art deco spa provides three Turkish hot rooms, two Russian steam rooms, a Finnish log sauna, and an ice cold plunge pool, in addition to a swimming pool, fitness centre and a broad range of specialist treatments. Although not ‘just for men’, the spa is men-only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Idle away an evening in steamy splendour
I started using the Porchester Spa over 20 years ago. Even back then, it felt like it had been around for ever. It is at its best in the winter time - escape a cold, dark, wet London night and enter a quiet, elegant, lush space of calm, heat and steam. Give yourself plenty of time. Enjoy doing nothing in particular, and relax, stretch out, nod off to sleep, read a newspaper properly, inbetween short bouts of warm bubbles, gentle swims, and padding round in thick mists of steam.
